The activity includes internship mobility to abroad for students who registered in a higher education institution. “Internship” is the process by which a beneficiary receives professional training and/or working experience within a business or organization in another country which is participated in the program. Internship activities can not be used to carry out studies such as research assignments and analysis studies related to academic studies conducted within the scope of a specific curriculum. Internship activity is the student's practical work experience in the field of vocational education.

The internship activity is not expected to be compulsory for the student's diploma program. However, the economic sector of the internship should be related to the current vocational education program of the student. In each level of education, the valid duration of activity is 2 to 12 months. Internship activities can be carried out within 12 months after graduation for students in each class and in the last year of the program. In the post-graduation internship activity, the student application must be made before the student graduates (when he/she is already a second-year student for the associate degree and a fourth-year student for an undergraduate degree). Graduated students cannot apply. Internship mobility after graduation must be completed within 12 months of graduation. After graduation internship period with student mobility, carried out at the same stage period totalling 12 months must not exceed.

Organizations that will host the internship; enterprises, training centres, research centres, chambers of commerce and associations, schools, foundations, non-profit organizations, career guidance organizations, professional counselling and guidance organizations, higher education institutions and other organizations mentioned in the Erasmus + Program Guide. In this context, an appropriate enterprise means any private or public institution, regardless of size, legal status and economic sector in which they operate, and any kind of economic activity including the social economy. If the institution in which the internship activity is abroad is a higher education institution, the work to be performed is not an academic learning activity but rather to obtain practical work experience in the related units. Internship activities for academic studies cannot be carried out.

The following organizations are not eligible for higher education internship activities under Erasmus +:

- European Union institutions and EU agencies (see https://europa.eu/european-union/about-eu/institutions-bodies_en )

- National Agency, etc., which conduct EU programs. organizations.

The internship may be interrupted if the company is closed due to holiday. The grant payment is made for the period when the entity is closed, but the closed period will not be added to the activity period. In order to ensure the minimum period of activity, the dates for which the internship will be closed must be investigated in advance, and even after the holiday period is removed, it is necessary to ensure that the minimum period is provided. Weekend holidays are not holidays to be deducted from the activity period. If the students return before the completion of the minimum period except for force majeure, the activity is considered invalid and the grant is not paid.
